Hi There!

I’m Abigail van Kooten, and I’m all about capturing the magic of the great outdoors through my lens. But you know what’s funny? I almost didn’t start this journey. Let me take you back a bit.

Back in the Netherlands, 16 years old me had her heart set on becoming a graphic designer. I could see myself crafting visuals that would leave people in awe. But life threw me a curveball – I got rejected by the school. Ouch, right? It stung, I won’t lie. But I’m a firm believer that creativity always finds its way.

So, I changed course. Photography interested me, so I decided to give it a shot and start a photography education. Guess what, it was like it was meant to be. Photography captivated me beyond my wildest dreams!

After graduating in 2012, I took the plunge into freelancing, working across various photography niches – from the fashion industry to cozy family portraits and even weddings and interior design. But honestly, it all felt a bit off, and I was almost ready to focus on something new completely.

Then something amazing happened. While traveling through Scotland I stumbled upon the raw beauty of nature photography and that reignited my flame. I started with landscapes but soon, I wanted more. I began weaving stories into my frames, adding models and a touch of storytelling to create captivating visuals. A perfect blend of all my previous photography skills came together in this amazing way of capturing adventure. I found my groove – turns out, nature and storytelling were my thing!

So, here I am, creating tales that resonate with every click of my camera. As a full-time explorer, I’m living the dream, traveling the world, and capturing its incredible stories. But, it’s not all about me and my adventures.

I’m on a mission to help fellow outdoor enthusiasts and entrepreneurs thrive in their businesses. I’ve shared my photography business know-how and mentored other photographers, all while continually taking my own passion for the great outdoors to the next level.

When I’m not behind the camera, you can find me immersed in the wild – camping, hiking, and losing myself in the beauty of mountains. Oh, and don’t get me started on waterfalls!

How does the process work?

At the core of our content creation philosophy is the belief that each piece of content should tell a story. Your story. To do this we have designed a special 8 step workflow.

1. Get in Touch

Fill in the contact form, send an email or book your video meeting.

2. Get clear!

Before we dive into the world of content creation, we want to know everything about what makes your brand or outdoor experience special. It’s not just about creating content; it’s about understanding the heart and soul of what you and your represent.

No matter if you already know what you want, or if you have no idea, we will dive into your brand to see how we can create the best content that speaks to your target audience.

We will do this during our video chat or through email communication. We’ll also ask you to fill in a questionnaire.

After we’ve established how we can support your brand in the best way possible we go to the next step.

3. tailor-made offer

No two brands are identical. This is why we believe in tailor made offers.

After we’ve gotten clear on who you are, what your brand stands for and what is most important for you as a brand, we will create a tailor made offer.

Within a couple of days you’ll receive our proposal in your mailbox. After accepting the proposal, we will dive into the next step!

4. Concept creation

Before diving into the planning and execution, we’ll create the perfect concept that contains everything we have previously discussed.

Through video chat or email, we’ll present the refined concept, ensuring it aligns seamlessly with your vision. Any necessary adjustments will be made at this stage. We are preparing the groundwork for the upcoming phases of the project.

We’ll reconnect once the concept is finalized and ready for the next steps.

5. Planning

Now that the concept is clear for both parties, let’s put the plan into action.

If desired, we’ll organise every detail. From the location to the date, from the models to the styling, ensuring a smooth and well-coordinated production.

This plan isn’t just a behind-the-scenes document; it’s a shared roadmap, discussed and refined with you.

Collaboration is key, and your input shapes the logistics of the upcoming shoot.

6. Content Creation

With the plan set in motion, it’s time for the magic to happen.

On the designated date and location, we’ll bring the concept to life. Every shot is a carefully curated piece, telling a story that resonates with your brand.

Whether it’s capturing the essence of your outdoor experiences or highlighting the features of your product, the content creation phase is a blend of creativity and precision.

7. selection

When the content is created, the selection process begins.

After the first selection has been made, the photos are uploaded in a protected digital gallery. Here you can make your own selection of photos and short clips.

The content for a video will be carefully selected for you, ensuring it complements the overall story seamlessly.

8. delivery

The final leg of our journey is the delivery of the edited content.

Punctuality is one of our core values; you can expect the content on or before the agreed-upon date. We aim to deliver within three weeks, embodying a commitment to efficiency.

If revisions are needed, rest assured they will be swiftly implemented to ensure the content aligns perfectly with your expectations.
